DAY 1: GETTING TO KNOW YOUR INNER CRITIC

In this self-compassion practice, you will be given the opportunity to explore how you currently relate to yourself. In this practice, you will experience your inner critic and will be invited to start to treat yourself with the same compassion that you tend to reserve for others.This meditation practice will give you a valuable insight into how you can start to transform the relationship that you currently have with yourself.

DAY 2: SIGNS THAT YOU NEED COMPASSION

In this practice, you will have the opportunity to start to become more in tune with when you need compassion. In our busy lives, it can be all too easy to miss the signs of when we need self-compassion, so an essential component of building your self-compassion practice, is to become in tune with the signs and signals that it’s needed. Self-compassion isn’t just designed to be for the meditation cushion, it’s a way of life. Throughout this meditation, you will build the foundations for starting to live a more self-compassionate life.

DAY 3: SOOTHING SELF

In this meditation practice, you will learn how to use soothing touch to cultivate feelings of self-compassion.When we’re upset, there’s nothing more comforting than receiving a warm embrace. By learning this valuable skill, it means that whenever we notice the signs that we need self-compassion, we can use touch as a way to overcome difficulties or challenges that we may face.

DAY 4: DEALING WITH THE CRITIC

One thing that we tend to really struggle with is our critical self-talk. Our self-talk can be extremely harsh, critical and unkind, and we tend to use punishing ways of motivating ourselves through berating and bullying ourselves. This meditation will help you to transform your critical self-talk, so that you can motivate yourself with encouragement and kindness.

DAY 5: LOVING KINDNESS

This meditation is called a Loving-Kindness meditation, also known as metta meditation. Metta or loving kindness in Pali means unconditional love and acceptance that extends to all living creatures, and carries a strong wish for the welfare of others. Loving Kindness helps us to cultivate kindness for ourselves and others, ultimately helping us to build the foundations of compassion. It allows us to access the compassion that we have for others, and helps us to turn that inward to ourselves. Connecting with that love and care that we have for others means we can foster that compassion for ourselves as well. By practicing loving kindness regularly, we increase our capacity for compassion and makes way for it to become our default way of life.
